Helen Marie "Cookie" Gordon is dedicated to a brighter future for District 6, focusing on economic growth, public safety, beautification, and housing. Her initiatives aim to create a thriving, inclusive, and beautiful community for all residents.
1. Economic Development – Creating Opportunities She is committed to fostering local businesses, attracting new industries, and creating jobs by supporting small businesses with resources, bringing in well-paying job opportunities, and investing in infrastructure to boost the local economy.
2. Public Safety – Ensuring Secure Neighborhoods Her safety plan includes improving traffic safety with speed controls and better signage and increasing neighborhood patrols through a Neighborhood Ambassador Program to build trust and ensure safety.
3. Beautification – Vibrant Public Spaces She aims to expand parks, promote community-led beautification projects, and enhance street lighting and infrastructure to create attractive, walkable neighborhoods.
4. Housing – Affordable, Stronger Communities She will prioritize affordable housing, support new developments that meet community needs, and work to preserve current housing stock while addressing homelessness.

In her role as Chairperson of the Public Advisory Committee at SolTrans, Cookie brings a visionary approach to improving local transportation, ensuring that it remains accessible and efficient for all Vallejoans. Her leadership, paired with her hands-on engagement, reflects her deep commitment to making sure Vallejo moves forward in every sense of the word.
